Import / Export options

From the Import / Export tab, you can save your settings to be used by multiple installations of HIE 5. You can also import settings and Color Themes previously exported from another HIE 5 installation.

 

 

To export Profiles Settings for use in another copy of HIE 5

  1. Click Export Profiles Settings

  2. From the Save As box, select a location to save your exported Profiles Settings file, then click Save.

 

 

To export ReadyShare Settings for use in another copy of HIE 5

  1. Click Export ReadyShare Settings

  2. From the Save As box, select a location to save your exported ReadyShare Settings file, then click Save.

 

 

To import Profiles Settings from a previously saved file

  1. Click Import Profiles Settings

  2. From the Open box, locate your previously saved Profiles Settings file, then click Open.

 

 

To import ReadyShare Settings from a previously saved file

  1. Click Export ReadyShare Settings

  2. From the Save As box, select a location to save your exported ReadyShare Settings file, then click Save.

 

 

To export Color Theme(s) for use in another copy of HIE 5

  1. Click Export Themes. A list of all available Themes is displayed.

  2. Select the Theme(s) to export using the checkboxes.

  3. Click Export, and select a location to save the exported Theme(s). Click OK. The Theme(s) are saved as a ColorSets.XML file in your chosen location.

 

 

To import Color Theme(s) created in another copy of HIE 5

  1. Click Import Themes.

  2. From the Open box, locate your previously exported Color Themes file, then click Open.

If you have more than one machine in your organization using HIE 5 exporting your settings allows you to easily ensure that all installations have the same ReadyShare account information, profiles, etc. without having to apply the settings manually.
