Toolbar - Widgets menu

The Widgets menu allows you to add a variety of objects to your design. Click the Widgets button to expand the menu.

 

Note: Before using any of the widget functions, place your cursor at the point where you want the action to be applied.

 

Video

Insert a YouTube video or other video into your design. The video will play right on your Facebook Page once the design is published.

 

To insert a video, follow these steps:

  1. Place the cursor where the video should be inserted.

  2. From the Widgets menu, Click Video. The "Insert Video" tool is displayed.

  3. Choose a Video Service, and follow the steps provided.

Note: The Template Editor will only show a placeholder for your video; it will not play in the Template Editor. Once your design is published to Facebook, the video will be displayed and play properly.

 

 

Form

Insert a form into your design. If you are a Gold or Platinum user, you can build your own form using the Form Builder. Alternatively, you can insert form code from a third-party form builder, marketing service, or Email Service Provider. The form will display directly on your Facebook Page once the design is published.

 

To use the Form Builder (Gold and Platinum only), follow these steps:

  1. Place the cursor where the form should be inserted.

  2. From the Widgets menu, Click Form. The "Insert Form" tool is displayed.

  3. Choose "Build a Form", and click Next. The Form Builder will be opened in a new window.

  4. Build your form using the tools provided in the Form Builder.

  5. When you are finished, save your form, and click Insert Form to insert the form at the cursor's location.

To insert a third-party form, follow these steps:

  1. Place the cursor where the form should be inserted.

  2. From the Widgets menu, Click Form. The "Insert Form" tool is displayed.

  3. Choose "Paste a Third-party Form", and click Next.

  4. Copy the form code to your clipboard from your preferred third-party form builder (E.g. WuFoo, FormStack), marketing service (E.g. AWeber), or ESP (E.g. Constant Contact, MailChimp, Infusionsoft).

  5. Paste your form code from your clipboard into the area provided.

  6. Click OK to insert the form at the cursor's location.

 

Note: The Template Editor will only show a placeholder image for your form; it will not display in the Template Editor. Once your design is published to Facebook, the form will be displayed and work properly.

 

 

Google Map

Insert a Google Map into your design. The Google Map will display right on your Facebook Page once the design is published.

 

To insert a Google Map, follow these steps:

  1. Place the cursor where the Google Map should be inserted.

  2. From the Widgets menu, Click Google Map. The "Insert Google Map" tool is displayed.

  3. Enter the address of the map location you'd like to display, choose a zoom level, and click Preview. If your address is valid, a preview will be shown.

  4. Click Done to insert the Google Map at the cursor's location.

Note: The Template Editor will only show a placeholder for the map. Once your design is published to Facebook, the Google Map will be displayed properly.

 

 

Twitter Feed

Insert a Twitter feed into your design. The Twitter feed will display directly on your Facebook Page once the design is published.

 

To insert a Twitter feed, follow these steps:

  1. Place the cursor where the Twitter feed should be inserted.

  2. From the Widgets menu, Click Twitter Feed. The "Insert Twitter Feed" tool is displayed.

  3. Enter a Twitter username and/or one or more search/hash tags, and click Preview. If the details you have entered are valid, a preview of the Twitter feed will be shown.

  4. Click Done to insert the Twitter feed at the cursor's location.

Note: The Template Editor will only show a placeholder image for your Twitter feed; it will not display in the Template Editor. Once your design is published to Facebook, the Twitter feed will be displayed and work properly.

 

 

Analytics

Insert Analytics code into your design so that you can track analytics on it once it's published. This analytics code won't be displayed to visitors of your page; it is completely hidden.

 

To insert Analytics code, follow these steps:

  1. From the Widgets menu, Click Analytics. The "Insert Analytics" tool is displayed.

  2. Copy the Analytics code from your Analytics service to your clipboard, and paste into the text area.

  3. Click OK to insert the Analytics code.

 

Note: If you want to remove the Analytics code from your design, there is an option to do so at the bottom of the Editor.

 

 

Custom HTML

Insert a snippet of your own custom HTML code into your design.

 

To insert custom HTML code, follow these steps:

  1. Place the cursor where the custom HTML should be inserted.

  2. From the Widgets menu, Click Custom HTML. The "Insert Custom HTML" tool is displayed.

  3. Copy your custom HTML code to your clipboard, and paste into the text area.

  4. Click OK to insert the custom HTML at the cursor's position.
