Uploading files via FTP Server

You can upload any type of file to your FTP account.

 

Uploading images (JPEG, GIF, BMP and PNG formats)

 

From the FTP Manager, click Upload.

 

The Open dialog box is displayed. Browse to locate the image (JPEG, GIF, BMP and PNG formats are supported), then click Open.

 

Use Photo Editor to crop or otherwise edit your image. Click Finish to proceed. The Image Attributes window is displayed.

File name - change the provided name if required

ALT text - enter 'alternate' text that is displayed in your email if images are turned off

Hyperlink - enter a valid web address (URL) if you want your image to link to a web page

Image quality - range 1-100, Low / Medium / High / Maximum (higher values are better quality, but result in a larger file size)

File type - JPG (default) or GIF

 

Click Save to complete. For most users, the default values will be fine.

 

The image is uploaded to the currently selected folder in FTP Manager.

 

Uploading all other file types

 

To upload a file, from the FTP Manager, click Upload.

 

The Open dialog box is displayed. Browse to locate the file, then click Open.

You can use the Files of type list to filter the view of files displayed (e.g. PDF files, Microsoft Office files, HTML).

 

Browse to locate the file, then click Open to upload it to the appropriate folder in FTP Manager.
