What is a Like Gate?
A Like Gate is a tab that displays different content to Fans and Non-Fans of your Facebook Page. Fans (have clicked 'Like') will see one design, and Non-Fans (have not yet clicked 'Like') will see a completely different design. This is a very powerful way to get visitors to 'Like' your Page.
Note: The "Like Gates" feature is only available to Gold and Platinum Subscribers.
How do Like Gates work?
When a Non-Fan of your Facebook Page is viewing your Like Gate, they will be shown a non-Fan design, or your Fan-only design with an overlay hiding it. When they click the 'Like' button at the top of the Page, the Page refreshes, showing the Fan-only design to your new Fan!
Note: By Facebook's standards, Administrators of a Facebook Page will see both the Fan design and Non-Fan design on the same tab. All other Facebook users will see your Like Gate correctly. If you'd like to test this functionality as a non-administrator, you will need to use a separate Facebook account.
