Photo Editor enables you to add special 'masks' to your images. Masks are overlays that can sit above other layers, but that have cut-out areas revealing the image(s) beneath. You can use a mask to give different special effects to your images, e.g. 'postcard' or 'filmstrip' masks.
To add a mask to an image, from the Tools
panel, click Masks. The Masks browser is displayed.

HIE 5 provides many different masks for you to choose from. Select one to apply, and click OK. The mask is applied to the image as the topmost layer. Click to select the mask, then click and drag the handles to resize the mask as required.

Masks can also be moved, rotated, locked, and deleted just like other image objects.
